fairly clean hotel and perfect restaurant. remote location and stroll from a railway station. appreciated secure area. very good service and neat rooms with good facilities.

I enjoyed that it was warm. Its SPECTACULAR, secluded location was a plus. All the services were excellent.

Charming Stay with Great Views

Our two-night stay offered fine mountain views from our cozy room. Breakfast was splendid with generous portions, and the staff's warm hospitality. For a perfect day, explore the nearby walking trails-you won't need your car!

Stayed at woolpack inn for one night to hike scafell pike, and it was perfect! Our room had a modern bathroom and a comfy bed, ideal after a long day. The location is lovely, close to beautiful trails. Miles provided excellent service.

We explored beautiful hikes and enjoyed great meals at local pubs. The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was really cozy. Just a heads up, signal is spotty, but it added to the adventure. I highly recommend staying here for a fun getaway.

I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at Woolpack Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful, made a real difference. The location was perfect for exploring amazing walks and attractions. Dinner was excellent, especially the locally sourced food. The experience was tainted by some issues. On arrival, I found the room dusty with no welcome pack to help navigate the area. The Wi-Fi in the room didn't work, inconvenient. The bar area was noisy late at night. Getting served breakfast wasn't smooth on Sunday due to lack of staff. Despite these inconveniences, the overall friendliness of the staff and the beautiful surroundings were great.

The atmosphere was cute, and the service was great. The food was really good, including a delicious homemade soup that showcased high-quality ingredients. The overall decor felt somewhat outdated, and the room didn't quite match the charming images depicted online. For the price, improvements in room maintenance would certainly enhance the experience.

The cozy decor and modern bathroom with a walk-in shower provided a perfect retreat after a long hike. The staff demonstrated excellent customer service, especially Miles, who was very attentive. Unfortunately, the food service was slow, with long waits for orders and several items unavailable, which left us disappointed. The bill also had errors that required clarification, detracting from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

The food was delicious, especially the BBQ ribs, and the bar offered a great selection of drinks. The location is perfect for hikers, as it's close to scenic trails. One area for improvement could be the room's bathroom cleanliness.

The woolpack inn is in a beautifull location surrounded by amazin mountains. The staff were super friendly and helpfull all the time, always smiling :) the food was great, especially the breakfast which filled me up for the whole day. I stayed in a comfy superior double room with a mountain view which was nice and modern. Will defo be returning soon!

only downside was some mould on the tile grout in the bathroom and the wifi was kinda weak.

It was all perfect.

Nice blend of cozy sections and a modern bar, giving a unique pub feel. The comfy chairs provide an inviting atmosphere.

The rooms seem in dire need of some updates. Carpets don't fit right, and visible gripper rods can be tripping hazards. Dusty surfaces and cobwebs are unwelcoming, and something as simple as a welcome pack could help new guests. Noise travels easily from the bar area to nearby rooms, which can disrupt a peaceful night's sleep. Daily housekeeping should be standard, yet fresh towels weren't provided .

The stay was wonderful, with a great atmosphere and very comfortable beds. The location was perfect for accessing lovely walks and the staff made us feel right at home. A special mention goes to the delicious locally sourced food we enjoyed during our meals. the room could use some freshening up as the furniture felt a bit shabby, and we noticed some minor issues with the bathroom. it was a pleasant experience.
